Trout farmers brought Asian carp to America in the mid 1970's to clean up their holding tanks by eating algae the grew there. Over the years, flooding carried the carp to waters beyond — and they've taken over every ecosystem they've encountered. And now they are dangerously close to entering Lake Michigan.
