Six students are moving onto Regionals after competing in the Grand Traverse County Spelling Bee last night. A gym packed with nervous parents and students watched quietly as each of the 66 children stepped up to the microphone. They were in 5th through 8th grade. The Regional Bee will take place March 14th at the City Opera House in Traverse City. Winners of that competition will move onto the State level, and could go on to Nationals in Washington DC.
