Two Hurt, One Arrested in Gladwin County Buggy Crash

A crash between a pick-up and an Amish buggy in Gladwin County killed the horse and seriously hurt one of the Amish men inside. Police say the man in the pickup truck was driving while intoxicated. The accident happened just after 11:00 Sunday night in Beaverton Township on South Bard Road. The 23-year old Amish man in the buggy with serious injuries was taken to Saginaw for treatment. A 22-year old Amish man was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Police arrested the pickup driver from Coleman and took him to the Gladwin County Jail.
