A Northern Michigan community thanks its firefighters and rescue squad for their service with a free lunch. The Masonic Lodge in Mesick hosted the lunch today from 11 to 2pm. The entire community was invited to participate in the event. Organizers say they can't do enough to thank the local fire department and rescue team for their service. The lodge also plans on having a breakfast in the near future to raise funds for the department.
