Break-in Suspects Linked to at Least 60 Crimes in Northern Michigan

Michigan State Police and Cheboygan County Deputies say two people accused of breaking into a Gaylord home are linked to even more crimes. A teenager was home at the time of the August break-in and called police. That's when police made the arrests. Investigators say they now have evidence linking Ralph Marshall and Verssel Ryckman to 60-70 break-ins in Otsego, Charlevoix, Emmet and Cheboygan Counties during the spring and summer of 2009. Ryckman is in Otsego County waiting to go on trial for several home invasions he was arrested for in that county. Marshall plead guilty to a home invasion in Otsego County and is serving a lengthy prison sentence.
