Busy Day in Dispatch as Snow Falls in Isabella County

The snowy roads kept dispatchers busy in Isabella County Tuesday. Calls kept coming in all day as the snow continued to fall. Dispatchers sent help to several cars in the ditch and other accidents. Dispatchers said they weren't surprised, because they saw the weather report and figured it would be busy. But while busy roads mean busy phone lines, they're never too busy to help. “Our dispatchers shine the most when we're busy in here. Their training kicks in, and they do an absolutely fantastic job,” Bonnie Morton, Isabella Co. Dispatch supervisor, said. Even though dispatchers are ready for anything, deputies are urging people to stay off the roads while it's snowing, unless you absolutely have to drive. Jodi Hathaway and photojournalist Joel Deaner have more on a busy day in dispatch.
