Many Unemployed Getting Less Back On Their Tax Returns
If you've been collecting unemployment, you could also be collecting a smaller tax return. Many people who've collected unemployment during the past year are finding out that they are no longer eligible for certain tax credits they received in previous years. H&R Block in Cadillac says it's mostly because unemployment is considered unearned income and many of these tax credits require you to have a certain amount of earned income to qualify. But as 9&10's Kalee Iacoangeli and photojournalist Michael Bulthuis report, there is still some good news for the unemployed.
