Big Fish Bring Banner Year for Northern Michigan in 2009

2009 was a banner year for big fish in Michigan, with a world record broken in Northern Michigan. A 41.45 pound brown trout caught by Thomas Healy of Rockford on the Manistee River back in September has now been certified as a world record by the International Game Fish Association. A new state record was also broken twice in 2009 for Pumpkinseed. The DNR says this just reaffirms that there's world class fishing right here in Michigan.
