Ford Dealers Have Reason to Smile

A sigh of relief Thursday for one of the big three car makers. The Ford Motor Company posted a 2.9 billion dollar profit for 2009. It's the first profit the company has made since 2005. Northern Michigan ford dealers say the earnings report should boost confident levels even higher for customers and dealers. Fox Grand Traverse in Traverse City already saw a 20-percent boost in sales in 2009 compared to the previous year. “It's all positive,” says John Cueter, GM at Fox Grand Traverse. “I think we're really going to see Ford make some positive strides forward in the next couple years.” 9&10's Ryan Raiche and Photojournalist Jeremy Erickson have the story.
