Drivers Need to be Careful on Wintery Roads

The Wexford County Road Commission has seen quite a few cars in ditches along M-115 today. The road commission has been out since midnight last night clearing the snow and salting the roads. But, it's too cold outside for the ice to melt. The mixture of high winds and fluffy snow can cause dangerous white outs. The Wexford County Sheriff's Department says the best way to drive in this winter weather is slowly with your headlights on. If you do head out, make sure you have a safety kit that includes a shovel, hat and gloves, and a flashlight. 9&10's Cali O'Rourke and photojournalist Stephanie Adkins have more details on how to drive safely in these conditions.
