President Barack Obama Delivers 2010 State of the Union

President Obama delivered his first State of the Union speech tonight. It comes during trying times for the nation, and the President tried to convey to Americans he understands their struggle. But Republicans were quick to respond to the speech. Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell says the nation can't afford the spending Democrats have enacted or the tax increases they've proposed. He did, however, cite several areas of agreement with the president. He says he agrees with Obama's proposal to increase the number of charter schools, and with his plans to send 30,000 more troops into Afghanistan. Sandra Endo has a full wrap up of the President's State of the Union address.
