Police: TC Man Committed Second Crime from Jail

Traverse City Police arrested a man for physically hurting his girlfriend, but it's what he did once inside the Grand Traverse County Jail that has him in deeper trouble. Police say they arrested the man for a domestic assault at an apartment complex on Veterans Drive last night and took him to jail. Then police say he asked to call an attorney, but actually made a call to the victim. He now faces witness intimidation charges on top of the assault charges.
