Fighting Back Against Domestic Violence

Planned Parenthood centers throughout the state are collecting donations for local domestic violence shelters. They say they're doing it this month to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy of nonviolence. So far they've collected boxes full of hygiene products. The local shelters are looking forward to the help. “When I called the Women's Resource Center, it's something they said they almost always have to purchase on their own so this is really very needed,” Jen Kirkpatrick Johnson, Planned Parenthood spokesperson, said. Planned Parenthood will collect donations until next Thursday. That's when they'll make their big deliveries to the shelters.
