The 17th annual Winterfest started today in Mackinaw City with the snow sculpture competition. You can head downtown to be a part of the Outhouse Races, a Chili Cook off and more. And it's easy on your wallet. Most of the Activities are free. Organizers say it's a good chance for people to get out and enjoy Northern Michigan no matter what season it is. Winterfest wraps up on Saturday with a Black Tie Scholarship Ball. And don't worry about the weather, Winterfest is a snow or not event. The games will be adjusted to the conditions.
