Snow for Sale! Online Auction Raises Money for Cystic Fibrosis

Snow for sale! A simple jar of Northern Michigan snow is catching attention on Ebay. There's no shortage of snow right now in Lake County, and a family in Baldwin is trying to sell it to raise money for a child with Cystic Fibrosis. Logan is two and was diagnosed with the disease when he was just four months old. Friends and family formed Logan's Heroes to raise money to fight the disease. Logan's parents are excited about the interest in the online auction. “They're absolutely amazed at how many people have actually looked at the website. I think last time I checked, there were 536 people that had looked at the website,” Sara Bloom, auction coordinator, said. Money raised from the jar of snow will be used to buy a bigger-ticket item, like a riding lawnmower to be auctioned off in April for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The auction ends Wednesday.
