En Garde in Traverse City

Teaching sword-fighting used to be pretty difficult because the worst students would always get hacked up. Then some real thinkers in Egypt and Greece developed masks and covered the tips of swords, and fencing was born. Fencing has been part of the modern Olympic games since beginning, but it's still a sport many people are only vaguely familiar with. It's often scene as a sport for the well-heeled, but it began as a way for people of all classes to learn sword fighting and dueling. Kaz and Corey spent Tuesday morning in traverse city with the Three Swords Fencing Club to learn more about sport that's been around since 1200 B.C.
