Michigan Looking for Volunteer Campground Hosts

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is seeking volunteers to act as campground hosts at state parks and forests. The Campground Host Program allows people to camp at no charge in return for providing visitor assistance. Campground hosts direct visitors to campsites, answer questions about the park or state forest, arrange campground activities and perform light maintenance and other services, depending on the host. Campground hosts may be one person or a group of people. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, provide services five days per week for a total of 30 hours and serve a minimum of four consecutive weeks.
