The man accused of shooting and killing another man in Emmet County faced a judge this morning. Edwan Stav is charged with murdering Nicholaus Sowers late Sunday night at a home in Emmet County's Readmond Township. Police came to the home after getting a 9-1-1 call. Stav is being charged with open murder, several serious weapons charges and for being a habitual offender. Police say Stav is related to the victim, and also say alcohol played a role in the shooting.
