Laid Off Workers in Four Counties Allowed to Keep Health Care

Laid off workers in four counties are now allowed to keep their health care coverage. Thanks to a federal extension, 74 laid off workers from Antrim, Charlevoix, Emmet and Otsego counties will be able to continue their Cobra coverage. Workers who were laid off through February of this year are eligible to extend the benefits for 15 months. The Northern Health Plan will help them by reimbursing them $50 each month for up to two people in a household.
