Renovations Start Soon on Library in Mt. Pleasant

An Isabella County Library will soon have a new look, and the Veterans Memorial Library in Mt. Pleasant is trying to make sure customers can still get what they need during the renovations. This week, workers are bringing some books, computers and tax forms to a nearby annex building. Renovations begin soon, and the goal is to make the library more computer-friendly. The children's area will also get a creative make-over. The library says it listened to what customers want. “They'll be able to get things easier, they'll be able to find them faster. We'll be able to get things on the shelf faster. They'll have more access to computers, more access to free internet,” Rob Wang, Veterans Memorial Library marketing and communications director, said. Crews are planning to finish the renovations in time for the library's 100th anniversary on March 19th.
