A Kalkaska County jail inmate had a taste of freedom Sunday night, but is now back in custody. Donnie Ray Keaton escaped from the jail around 8:30 Sunday night, prompting an immediate, massive man-hunt in the area. But less than an hour later, he was back in custody. We don't know yet how he managed to escape or where he tried to go while he was out, or how he came to be taken back into custody. .
