Hook & Hunting: Ice Fishing Tips

In the last Hook and Hunting of 2011 we've got tips before you ice fish.

It didn't take long for fishermen to grab their gear at the first sign of ice this season.

9&10 News found people fishing on Crooked Lake this afternoon, north of Petoskey.

Besides your pole, you'll want to be sure you have a few other things with you; the ice can still be thin, so the owner of Young's Bait and Party Store in Alanson recommends everyone wear a life preserver of some king and bring a whistle.

Be sure to head out on the ice with a buddy, be sure you're not directly next to one another incase something does happen.
