Hook & Hunting: DNR Offering Women-Only Handgun Course

The DNR is hosting a handgun course for women in Cadillac.

The course will be on obtaining a concealed pistol license.

This course requires no previous shooting experience or skill level.

It will be at the Carl T. Johnson Hunt and Fish Center in Cadillac on June 16 and 17th from 8am until 4:30 pm.

The class will go over basic firearm safety instructions and cover the fundamentals of handgun shooting and much more.

A minimum age of 21 is required by the law to obtain a CPL. Participants must attend both days and bring their own handgun, ammunition and eye and ear protection.

The cost is $55 per person, those interested can either register in person at the Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center or visit their website at www.michigan.gov/bow.
