US Embassy Officials In Cuba Hit With ‘Acoustic Attack’

Posted: Updated:

The U.S. believes embassy officials in Cuba were hit with a so-called "acoustic attack."

The noise coming from sonic devices left two people at the U.S. embassy in Havana with health problems.

The health issues were so serious, they needed to come back to the U.S. for the treatment.

One official says the employees may have permanent hearing loss from the attack.

In response, the U.S. removed two Cuban officials from the U.S in May.

The Cuban ministry of affairs says they never attacked the embassy and the removal of the Cuban officials was "unjustified and unfounded."
