Behind The Scenes Of The Traverse City Film Festival

Break out the popcorn!

The 13th annual Traverse City Film Festival kicks off Tuesday.

About 250 films are shown during this festival.

9&10's Lauren Scafidi stopped by the State Theatre in Traverse City to find out more on the festival.

The State Theatre is just one of the venues where films will be played this week.

But the movie viewing isn't limited to land, you can also watch the films from a boat.

Tickets for that are still available online but order those quick because some shows, like Divine Order, have three screenings that are already sold out.

Northern Michigan’s News Leaders caught up with the festival’s Communications Director, Katy Gwizdala, and Creative Director, Meg Weichman, to find out more about what goes on behind the scenes.
