Spiced Lamb Patties with Nutty Garlic Sauce

Spiced Lamb Patties with Nutty Garlic Sauce

- 2 Garlic cloves, chopped

- ¼ C almond butter

- 4 TB lemon juice, divided

- 6 TB olive oil

- 1 Tsp. black pepper

- 1 lb. ground lamb

- ½ medium onion, finely chopped

- ¼ C parsley, finely chopped

- ½ tsp cumin

- ¼ head of red cabbage, thinly sliced

- ¼ hot house/English cucumber, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced

- 2 radishes, thinly sliced

- 4 pita breads

- Cilantro and mint leaves

Directions:

Wisk garlic, almond butter, 2 TB lemon juice, 2 TB oil and 2 TB water. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.

Mix together lamb, onion, parsley, coriander, cumin, 2 TB oil, salt and pepper. Form into 12 patties. Heat heavy skillet over medium heat. Cook patties, about 4 minutes each side.

In a medium bowl, mix the cabbage, cucumber, radishes, cilantro, mint, 2 TB lemon juice and 2 TB oil.

Serve lamb patties in the pita bread with the cabbage salad and herb leaves.
