Crews Working to Remove Boat from Ludington Breakwall

Posted: Updated:

Crews continue to work to remove a large fishing boat after it crashed into a Mason County breakwall.

The accident happened at the north breakwall in Ludington on Sunday night.

The sheriff's department says fog, speed, and lack of radar contributed to the accident. The group of seven were returning from fishing at Big Sable Point.

One person had minor injuries.

Sekenske Salvage company worked to remove the boat on Tuesday. They hope to have it off the breakwall by Wednesday.

The breakwall will remain closed until the boat is removed.

9&10's Breelynn Martin and Photojournalist Jeff Blakeman visited the scene.
