Posted: Updated:

A festival geared towards getting people outside is returning to one Northern Michigan community.

The Outdoor Fest and All American Picnic is on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Thurston Park in Central Lake in Antrim County.

Vendors, live music, food, and a chance to learn different styles of fishing are just a few of the things you can do at the festival. There is also a fishing tournament, registration start at 9 a.m. The host of Michigan Outdoors Jimmy Gretzinger will be there for a meet and greet too.

The Outdoor Fest started last year and has grown in size.

The event director says the festival was inspired by kids.
