JULY 16

"My kids started crying and the fiance started crying, everyone was pretty upset once none of the neighbors had seen him," said Chris White, dog owner.

A family is doing everything they can to get their dog back, they say someone took the dog from their home.

It happened last Saturday, while the family went out and when they came back to their Fife Lake home, their dog Chubz wasn't there.

It appears someone stole him, and now five kids are having a hard time dealing with the missing pup.

"I wanted this kind of dog for a long time, the English Bull dog isn't an easy breed to find around here," said White.

Its also an expensive one, the kids even chipped in so the family could buy Chubz.

"They're still wondering where he's at, you know hoping that someone will bring him back, were just still really hoping," said White.

They continue to go through the events of the day Chubz was taken, trying to figure out who couls have him.

"We went to The Cherry Royale parade, we left here around nine and when we got back here at two he was gone," said White.

Before they left, they made sure both top and bottom parts of the cage were locked, along with the handle and dead bolt on the door.

When they came back, the dead bolt and handle were still locked, but someone had come through the doggy door.

"There's this metal slide here to protect so people can't come in and when we got home, the metal slide was slid up probably about that far, where someone had slid it up but not able to slide it back down," said White.

They called the humane society, animal control and police. The sheriff's department believes they have a possible suspect, but the investigation is still going.

Meanwhile the family is coming up with ideas on how to get their pup back.

"We plan on printing a lot more flyers and putting them through the area and just continuing to call a lot of people and get it out there that he's gone," said White.
