Michigan Murder, Man Serves Life Sentence

Posted: Updated:

A man who killed his wife and children in Michigan, then fled to India, will spend life in prison.

Laksminivasa Nerusu claimed he was insane at the time of the 2008 murders in Novi.

The judge told him at Thursday's sentencing in Pontiac, that he was not mentally ill but a quote, "evil human being."

He stabbed his wife 59 times in the couple's home.

He then slashed his 14-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son's throats when they came home.

The man took off to India, but was brought back to Michigan in 2013.
