MI Receives $1.13M Grant for Outdoor Recreation and Conservation

Federal officials say Michigan will receive $1.13 million from the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

The money will go towards outdoor recreation and conservation efforts.

Michigan US Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow praised the grants today.

Levin says the aid will help the state make its resources aavailablefor public enjoyment for years to come.

Stabenow says hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling are vital to Michigan's economy and part of the state's way of life.
