A motorcycle crash in Indiana killed a northern Michigan woman and severely injured a man.

The crash happened around 7:30 Saturday evening in Indianapolis.

State police say the motorcycle, driven by Kyle Lovell of Tustin, hit a guardrail on the I-465 north-bound ramp.

Early reports show his passenger, Ashley Drake of Six Lakes, tried to adjust her seat, causing Lovell to lose control.

Drake was thrown from the bike, and she died at the scene.

Lovell was taken to a nearby hospital where he's in critical condition.
