There's a new exhibit at the Dennos Museum in Traverse City highlighting Chinese roots and history.

The exhibition features the work of seven noted photographers in China presenting contemporary images of the Chinese people and environment, reflecting tradition, change and offering social commentary.

A main theme of the art is to show where China is today and how it got there.

"This exhibition reflects sort of a look back to the past, not in terms of returning to the past but sort of remembering what china is about as a country, as a people in it's tradition," said Eugene Jenneman, Executive Director at the Dennos Museum.

The exhibition runs through September 7th and costs $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children and museum members.
