UPDATE: Tornado Warning Expired at Noon in Ogemaw County

The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for Ogemaw County that expired at 12:00 PM Tuesday, June 17. 

One funnel cloud was reported by law enforcement officers near West Branch. Jessica Van Meter says radar indicated rotation. 

The safest place to be during a tornado is in a basement. Get under a workbench or other piece of sturdy furniture. If no basement is available. Seek shelter on the lowest floor of the building in an interior hallway or room such as a closet. Use blankets or pillows to over your body and always stay away from windows.

The National Weather Service released some storm damage reports. Grand Traverse County reported several trees down in Kinsley.  Crawford County reported multiple trees and power lines down across Old 27 near Frederic. Old 27 was closed briefly. NWS estimates wind reached speeds of 60 MPH. Lake County reported trees down west of Irons.
