UPDATE: Woman Arrested Accused of Mason County Robbery

Posted: Updated:
A Mason County woman has been arrested on unarmed robbery charges.

The investigation started early Tuesday morning at the Admiral Gas Station in Scottville after a woman walked in and demanded cash from the clerk.

According to the manager, the woman said that she had people outside who would hurt the clerk if he didn't give her the cash.

The manager says the clerk complied; she got away with several hundred dollars.

As soon as she left he called police, who were on the scene within minutes. Deputies attempted to track the suspect, but were unsuccessful.

The crime was caught on surveillance video, which helped deputies in the investigation. They also interviewed several people and searched two locations.

Mason County detectives issued an arrest warrant for Jaralee Sobers. Deputies in Kent County located Sobers and arrested her on one count of unarmed robbery.

9&10's Breelynn Martin and Photojournalist Jacob Johnson have more details in the story.
