The Montcalm County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of a possible attempted abduction near the intersection of Dickerson Lake Road and Greenville Road in Montcalm Township.  The incident occurred around 3:00 pm on Friday, June 13.

With the help of the victim, a composite image has been created. If you recognize the man in the sketch, please contact Detective Snyder at 989-831-7590 or call the Tip Line at 989-831-7593.

Police say a 15 year old Greenville girl was walking home from school when a vehicle continually passed her until it stopped and the driver spoke to her. Initially the driver offered the girl a ride and when she refused, the driver ordered her into the car.

The girl ran off into the woods and eventually made her way home. Police believe she was not targeted, but a victim of opportunity.

Police say they the vehicle was a silver mid-2000's Pontiac G-6 with a sunroof.

Police say the driver was described as a white male in his mid-twenties to early-thirties with a military-style haircut, brown hair, no facial hair, and wearing sunglasses and a red t-shirt.
