Woman Kidnapped At Knifepoint In Iosco County

A woman was kidnapped at knifepoint and forced into a car.

Michigan State Police in West Branch say a woman called to report a man had kidnapped her while she was closing up a business in Baldwin Township.

Once forced into the car, it drove off on US 23.

The woman managed to jump from the moving vehicle and flag down another car who took her to the hospital.

Troopers later found a 55-year-old suspect and arrested him.

He's in the Iosco County Jail facing charges of kidnapping, sex crimes and assault.

The victim was treated for injuries at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital.
