Woman Robbed Making Night Deposit In Manton

Posted: Updated:
The search continues for the man police say robbed a woman outside a Wexford County credit union.

A Shell Mini Mart employee tells police the man robbed her while trying to make the store's nightly deposit at Forest Area Federal Credit Union in Manton Thursday night. She says the man confronted her while at the bank's drive-thru.

Police say the man grabbed the money bag, growled at the woman, then took off into the woods nearby. The victim told police she did not see a weapon, but he kept one hand hidden in his clothing. The man got away with a little more than $2,000, according to police.

The suspect is described as being around 20 years old, 5 foot 10 inches tall, with a thin build, and brown hair. The victim says he was wearing a light gray sweatshirt with a light gray mask covering his face.
