MyNorth Tickets Minute: Art, Music and Fundraising

Posted: Updated:

Jenny Buechel has the week's lineup of events from MyNorthTickets.com and it all starts this Friday at the Suttons Bay Schools Annual Collage. The program features a variety of short student acts including instrumentalists, vocalists, video animation and even more-plus ticket proceeds benefit the fine arts programs in Suttons Bay Schools.

On Sunday the Traverse Symphony Orchestra takes over Central Grade School for their Dazzling Strings performance. They've prepared Brahm's First Symphony, known by musicians as a show demanding high technicality, agility and speed. That begins at 3:00 PM, perfect timing for post-Mother's Day brunch.

And then already looking into next week, we're at Brick Wheels, just one of the businesses owned by the Brick family. Next Tuesday you have the opportunity to support their foundation BrickWays, a program that provides supportive housing options for the developmentally disabled. The event is called Brick Flix, including a movie showing, silent auction, drink specials and live music all happening at the InsideOut Gallery. It all starts at 5:00 PM.
