Sheriff's House Burns in Harrison

Posted: Updated:
The house belonged to Sheriff John Wilson.

He was home at the time and was able to get himself, his son and dogs out of the home safely.

But now his home in Harrison is destroyed after fire crews fought the high winds as well as the flames.

Thick black smoke covered the entire town as the fire burned the 115 year old house.

Sheriff Wilson was home with his sick son when he says he saw smoke coming from his basement.

Fire crews responded and believed they knocked it down before the whole thing went up in flames.

9&10 News' Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Tony Zyber were there as the town watched on and have more details.
