Northern Michigan Brewery Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Posted: Updated:
A small community is tripling in size to celebrate a local brewery.

Short's Brewery in Bellaire is celebrating their 10th anniversary today by putting on a large outdoor party.

They shut down the block and put up large booths to accommodate the crowds. More than 4,000 people from all across Michigan came to help Short's celebrate how far they have come. Short's had more than 80 beers on tap for the event and had an anniversary beer for sale. They say it wasn't just about them, it was also to thank all their supporters.

Visit the Short's Brewery website for more information about their brewery and their upcoming expansion.

9&10's Katie Boomgaard was at the beginning of today's celebration and has more details.
