UPDATE: Suspect Involved In Manton Buggy Accident Turns Himself In

Posted: Updated:

Nearly a day after a driver hit and smashed an Amish buggy, police say the man responsible turned himself in.

Police say the Manton man turned himself in Thursday afternoon.

The hit and run crash happened on Old US-131, just south of Manton, around dusk Wednesday evening.

The driver is accused of hitting the buggy from behind that was carrying seven passengers. All were tossed out when it was rear-ended, including a woman who was sent to the hospital. She has since been released.

Charges are pending in the case.

9&10's Breelynn Martin and Photojournalist Tony Zyber spoke with police.
