Man Lying in Road Hit, Killed by Car in Isabella County

Tribal police are investigating a deadly accident that happened Saturday on the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Reservation in Isabella County.

Police say a man was spotted lying on Broadway Road around 4 a.m. Saturday. Before people could block off the road, he was hit by another car. 

The man was taken to McLaren Northern Michigan in critical condition. He later died at the hospital from his injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving drunk.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police at 989-775-4700.
