Deadly Accident in Gladwin County

A one car accident killed a Gladwin County man, and sent the driver to the hospital in Midland.

The Gladwin County Sheriff's office says the accident happened shortly before ten-thirty Saturday night on River Road, near Winegars Road in Buckeye Township.

Troopers believe 21 year old driver lost control of his vehicle while heading South on River Road.

His car went into a ditch and overturned and the 20 year old male passenger, from Beaverton, died at the scene.

The driver, also from Beaverton, was taken to Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center in Midland.

His condition is not known.

Neither have been identified yet and the accident remains under investigation.
