A Proposed Project That Could Revitalize Gaylord's Downtown Area is Raising Some Concerns

Posted: Updated:

A project to revitalize Gaylord's downtown area passed The City Council unanimously tonight.

It's a multi-million dollar streetscape project that would reduce Main Street in downtown from five lanes, to three, add pedestrian islands, and make updates to The Courthouse Plaza.

It's getting mixed reviews. Some feel it's a waste of money, while others feel it's just what downtown needs.

The next step in the process is to apply for the funding grants.
