Judge Strikes Down Michigan Same-Sex Marriage Ban

Posted: Updated:

DETROIT (AP) -- A federal judge struck down Michigan's ban on same-sex marriage.

It is unclear if gay marriages could begin immediately.

In 2004, nearly 60% of Michigan voters approved the constitutional amendment that recognizes marriage as only between a man and a woman.
