Jack's Journal: Popular Traverse City Window

Posted: Updated:

In Traverse City the corner of Cass and Lake streets is the home of Hagerty Insurance. They insure classic cars and boats.  The window has drawn attention because it is always showcasing a classic automobile and it has become a must see for tourists and locals alike.  And guess what, you don't have to stay outside!

So don't be shy, the display changes about once a month or so. They've displayed all types of vehicles from cars to vintage snowmobiles to even the lunar rover.  They plan a year ahead and always keep anniversaries in mind.

Call it a bay window or atrium but at Hagerty it's known as the Drum because of its round shape.

If you do venture in, you will find a bit of Traverse City history.  Always on display, a napoleon truck manufactured in Traverse City.
