No matter what the season, there's always something going on in northern Michigan!

The 5K Snowshoe Stomp is happening this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned veteran, this would be a great event to get outdoors and enjoy nature. Registration fees run $25 for adults and $5 for kids on the day of the event.

And if hockey is more your style, there's a 3 on 3 street hockey tournament this weekend. Teams will head to downtown Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday for the fundraiser aimed at helping the Michigan-based organization, Corner Pieces which supports Autism Awareness. Teams pay $50 to participate and must be 21 or older.

If this weather has you craving a delicious dinner, you might want to check out The Boathouse Restaurant on Old Mission Peninsula. Tomorrow they'll be holding a Michigan Wild Game Wine Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 a person and that gets you a 3 course meal, and of course some dessert. $10 of that ticket goes to the Conservation Resource Alliance.
