Hook and Hunting: Sportsmen's Fellowship Banquet

Posted: Updated:

The Sportsmen's Fellowship Banquet has been held for 12 years.

And it's gotten so popular in the last three years, that they're doing it twice.

The banquet is held the East Bay Calvary Church in Traverse City.

Friday and Saturday's event starts with a dinner.

The program will then feature a keynote speaker as well as big door prizes such as a 7-day Ontario bear hunt and whitetail deer hunting excursions.

The event welcomes those who enjoy the great outdoors. It also has its spiritual ties.

Chairman Pete Lathrop says, "I think our country is based upon God, family, and patriotism, and those three elements come together and they really appeal to the sportsman. And that's the type of thing that the men and women who come to these banquets really enjoy."

Banquet tickets continue to go fast.
