My North Tickets Minute: Microbrews, Wine & Music

Posted: Updated:

Lots of food, drink and musical entertainment going on this weekend-and it's all wrapped into these three events from MyNorthTickets.com.

This Saturday, right across from West Grand Traverse Bay it's the Winter Microbrew and Music Festival. Over 30 breweries represented, 3 musical stages and silent disco, it's all happening at the Sara Hardy Farmers Market Parking Lot. To get in to the big party you need this bracelet, available for purchase and pick up here at the MyNorthTickets offices at Park and State Street, downtown Traverse City.

That same day up the Leelanau Peninsula, you can celebrate the Winter Wine & Vine Experience. Your ticket includes a flight of local wines paired with specialty food appetizers by Martha's Leelanau Table. That's taking place up at the Old Art Building in Leland.

And then to finish off your weekend events, Encore Winds features a night of swing and jazz with Myles Boothroyd on the saxophone. See the performance at Lars Hockstad Auditorium in Central Grade School.

You can purchase all your tickets online at MyNorthTickets.com or here at the downtown Traverse City building.

A potentially stinky situation for some people in Clare County, they say their garbage hasn't been picked up in weeks. It's all due to state enforced frost laws.
